Big Girl Bed

So I realize my last few posts have been about Sienna....it's purely coincidence.....it's not all about Sienna in our house....well maybe it is a little bit but just so happens she has a lot going on right now.
So Sienna likes to sleep in our bed. She has never been a big fan of her crib or her toddler bed. I think because she's my last I have slipped a bit and let her sleep with us. It has been driving Conwey crazy for some time now. See Sienna likes to sleep sideways...and she likes to have her cute little face right next to mine. I mean RIGHT next to mine...as in touching my face. I end up on the very edge of the edge of the bed. Doesn't really make for a good night sleep...
So I thought about it and realized maybe it was the uncomfortableness of her firm little crib mattress. (I am hoping that is it)
So this last week Sienna got her BIG GIRL BED! Woo Hoo for Sienna!
She LOVES it! I'm so happy!

We actually all think its a pretty comfy bed....but especially Jackson who is still in a twin bed and the only one with a twin...he thinks it's time for me to now get him a big comfy bed too...
I will get to work on that Jackson....right after I finish the half bath project I started that has been a nightmare! Total Nightmare!
I knew it would be bad....I have waited 3 yrs to start it because I knew it would be so bad...but I didn't know how bad. It was BAD!

Don't be fooled by the people and commercials that show the wallpaper coming down in large strips....it doesn't work like that....and don't believe the home depot guy that tells you he took his whole living and dining room down in an hour with a steamer....they lie!

For those of you on facebook you may have heard my 100 status updates on this and heard all about the steamer I had to rent..that was horrible and burned me everywhere. You may have had to endure updates of me pretty much in tears of frustration...but now maybe you might get a little glimpse into what I was going through.
I really really do not know why people use wallpaper. I know it's coming back but please learn from my experience and don't do it because even if you like it right now you will eventually get sick of it....my recommendation....HIRE someone to take it down for you!
And just a little shout out to my great friend Julie who showed up on my doorstep not once but twice to help me! You know you have a good friend when they show up on a Friday night even when I told her I could do it alone, and then she gets a babysitter to come and help me paint! Thanks Julie your the best! I owe you big time!

So I still have to hang the towel bar up but man oh man am I glad to be rid of that nasty striped wallpaper!
It was a great learning experience for me and I hope to NEVER EVER have to do it again~

Sienna's first ManiPedi.....

So I have been waiting a long long time for this.....drum roll......Sienna and I went and got our toes done. It was just as fun as I though it wold be too....she was so excited. I just love how girlie she is! She really loves all the same things as I do. It's very fun.

She was really enjoying herself.....

She picked purple with white flowers.....

Carmen and Holly...it was a girls day!

The finished product!
The first of many fun trips with my daughter...I hope!

The Princess Party...

So our neighbor always has very elaborate birthday parties for her kids...I always feel like I must be the worst mom when Sienna gets cupcakes at the park for her birthday....
So Sienna got the invitation and carried it around for weeks...very very excited to go to Tiffany's party. It was a Princess party! Sienna is very into the Princess thing right now.

Sienna couldn't believe her eyes...it was the real Cinderella!

I have to say she had it down pretty good. She sounded just like her...

Look at the cake...Sienna was in heaven!

So she left with a huge goody bag and feeling like a princess...hopefully she won't compare when her birthday rolls around in May!

So behind!

I don't even know where to begin I feel so behind on this blog! I keep putting it off because I am so backed up. So I have to start somewhere right.
So I will post a few first day of school pictures...mostly just for myself to remember because this is a weird feeling...I have one in High School, one in Middle School, one in Elementary School and one in preschool! Ahhhh....although Sienna doesn't start till next week. I am actually feeling sad about it. Weird I know because I will have a couple of hours to myself, I think I am just gonna really miss her. I think when it's your 4th child and your last you just know how fast it goes....

First day of school breakfast (don't get too use to this Jackson...cold cereal tomorrow!) :)

Jackson first day of Fourth Grade....9 yrs old.

Add ImageAlmost missed the bus on the first day! Ahhh...it's hard getting three off at different times!

Cooper first day of 6th grade...12 yrs old.

He is saying Mom your not seriously following me to the bus stop are you....Oh no Coop...just going to the next mailbox....

I some how made it all the way to the bus stop and he didn't even notice I was taking pictures once he got there. I am so sneaky!

My Cooper is growing up! Sad...

Hunter's first day of 9th grade...High School! How in the world do I have a son going to High School? Really... I swear I was just there myself!!!
There are no pictures of him going to the bus stop because well he missed the bus! I still love him though even though he made me late for spin class!

Sienna didn't want to be left out...she too wanted me to take her picture on the first day of the boys school she said....Sienna 3 yrs old.....

Home again! It's funny how much I miss them after spending all summer with them. I always feel sad about school. I hate that they are out in the fresh air everyday, exercising...swimming, riding their bikes, playing with friends, and then they go to school and have to sit at a desk all day long...with what a whole 15 minutes of recess...
Well so far we are off to a great start. Everyone loves school. I am knocking on wood!
