Sienna Maureen turns 3!

Today Sienna turned 3 years old! My baby is 3!

So we have had one fun filled weekend with Sienna's 3rd birthday.
It started on Friday with a fun little cupcake party with her great friends Nicky and Royal, Jackson, Mathew, Micheal, and William, and of course her great aunt Rach.
She had loads of fun and the thing I love most about this age is she is so excited to open her presents it could be a chap stick or a pink bike and she gets just as excited for either one. She squealed in delight at every gift.

My sweet friend Carmen made these cute cookies for her...a whole container of them!

Should I worry that most of her friends are boys???

Then she came home and Aunt Rachel had decorated her room for her and she thought that was the coolest thing ever!

So then I stayed up til about 2:00 am decorating her Ariel cake, that I thought looked like a great idea in the store....then about half way through I started wondering what in the world I was thinking...it was a nightmare! I have made footballs, and spongebobs, and the barbie cakes, but Ariel was a lot harder! It was the face that killed me!
So look at your own risk....I know she looks possessed...but Sienna still liked her. That's all that matters!

So we had the counter all decorated for when she came down in the morning.....

It was like Christmas....waiting on the stairs...so mom could get the camera ready.
But she had Jackson to keep her company.

She really loved all her presents...her Belle collection from Grandpa Vic was a hit, and the make-up and jewelry from her cousins Morgan and Macy she LOVED! Thanks guys!

All her brothers bought her presents with their own money....Hunter got her a new doll (since he decided to break her old on apart with a bat last week...) Coop got her a princess purse, and Jackson got her a Ariel ball, 2 bracelets, and some lip gloss....she was very grateful!

She loved her new bike and she loves her dad.....and he likes her too...just a little bit...

So then she got to pick what to do next and she wanted to go in the jog stroller and run to Robecks to get a smoothie...then over to Dunkin Doughnuts for a doughnut. So we got on our running stuff and went on a little birthday run.
It was a gorgeous day out and the perfect day for a birthday.

So after our run we headed down to her cousin Henry's birthday party. They share the same birthday. His party was lots of fun. He had a fun blow-up waterslide and Jackson helped her go down.

Sienna and her cousin Henry who turned 9 years old.

So we raced home and got stuff ready for her birthday b-que with Conwey's family.

You can't really tell but it was festive and pink....
She was in her glory all night...

Conwey's cute little pregnant sister Summer...due in 2 months and look how great she looks!

Cousins....there are lots of boy cousins in this family! They all really get along and love each other! It is a lucky thing!
Great kick off to the summer and tomorrow we are heading to Kings Dominion...should be good times!

As I was laying next to Sienna watching her sleep ( I do it a lot) I think because she is my baby and I just feel so incredibly blessed to have her in my life. That she is healthy...that all my kids are healthy for that matter. It is amazing to me.
I watch her sleeping...always blown away at the love I feel inside for her.
She is growing up and it makes me so sad. But I do love the age she is right now. It is just so much fun. She really is my best little friend, we hang out all day everyday and I rarely get sick of her.. :)
So here are my 10 things I love about Sienna Maureen.....

1. She laughs all the time
2. She sings all the time
3. She loves doing the same things as me
4. She loves shoes, clothes, make-up, accessories...if it's girlie she loves it!
5. She is super tender hearted
6. She scratches my back almost every night...I am really trying to train her!
7. She ADORES her brothers and her dad. She lights up when they walk in.
8. She is finally potty trained! Yahoo!
9. She is ALWAYS so happy to see me even if I was just upstairs for a little bit.
10. She still loves to snuggle with me!

So I hope we stay best friends forever!
I love you Sienna Maureen Casillas!!!

Hunter and Guitar

So I am surfacing for a minute from the land of craziness and baseball. And yes next week we get to add swim practice to it...ahhhhhh.
I feel some days I am barley keeping above water....which I know a lot of people feel like at this time of the year.

Hunter had his last little guitar concert last night in middle school because yes...he will be in High School next year. Ask me how bad I am freaking out about that one!
Anyway I always get a bit emotional at the end of the year things. I really feel like we just started this year and now it's coming to a close.
It's amazing how much better these kids got in one year. Last year it was a little brutal to listen to and this year they sounded great.

And this is how I tried to entertain Sienna...lots of gum.....

And this is what Jackson did....

Sienna and I....

Coop had a baseball game so he couldn't be there....
So it was a great concert and I am so sad Hunter is leaving middle school and Cooper is going in....but I am sure it will all work out. Right???

And here we go again.....

Yes it's started again....Baseball.....

Today was the opening ceremonies and parade. The kids love it and I will say they do a great job.
Some of you may remember my post from last year and all the junk we had to feed Sienna to keep her occupied. Well this year I have to say was much easier. Not as much junk needed. The difference a year makes!

Jackson's team....love that smile Jackson!

Cooper's team.....J/K we did get one of them in the parade...but man as they get older they don't want to pose for pictures...or they are too busy doing this....

Sienna waiting for the boys to come down the street in the parade.

It was taking to long...so she went exploring.....

oh there they are....Coop's team the Astro's this year.

Now on to the fun stuff...

Hunter and Jackson having a race to the top.....

Cooper always looking out for Sienna....love him!

Sienna up there.....

She wasn't too sure she liked that slide after all......she was happy to see her friends Sophie and Brooke there though.....and her buddies Nicky and Royal came too but we didn't get a picture.

Sophie and Brooke

Hunter was very proud of his 70 mile per hr pitch if you look close you can see it by his legs.

Sienna thought the fire truck was pretty cool. The fireman was very nice to her.

So after 6 hours we all went home a bit tired and a bit sun burnt but it sure was fun!
Let the games begin!

Easter

Really Easter has come and gone? It is already the middle of April? How fast is this year going?

Easter....I am always a bit surprised how much my boys love to color Easter eggs. I love it. I never seem to make enough because I think they won't want to do that many but every year we run out.

Sienna LOVED it too. It really is fun. I always want to be more creative than I am though.....

Easter morning...we have 8:30 am church so the Easter Bunny came while we were at church which was kind of nice I will say....
They were all very excited to find their baskets and for the first time in a few years it wasn't raining outside so he hid everything outside.

Sienna had lots of help with finding the eggs....

So then we headed down to Conwey's sister's house in McLean and had a great family dinner with everyone. I brought my camera but of course didn't take even one picture while we were there. We missed you Summer and Sierra though...and Jayne and crew! We even had the day off of school the next day which was soooo nice!

So the next holiday is Mother's Day....and we all know that is my FAVORITE holiday of all!
Can't wait!

Ashburn

I don't know if any of you know this but I LOVE living where I live.
We moved to Ashburn almost 3 years ago (in July) and everyday I feel so lucky to live here.
I drive down the streets everyday and look around and it just makes me happy.
I remember when we were looking out here and we would come out on the weekends to look at houses, and I remember never wanting to leave to go back down to Arlington. It is just so peaceful and pretty here.

It is so kid friendly, so convenient, tons of families, kids everywhere, you can park and just walk into stores, and restaurants which sounds silly but after living in Arlington for so long I soooo appreciate that.
My sister always tells me that I live in my little Ashburn bubble and never want to leave but it is kind of true. I have everything I need right here.
I just wish my husband loved it as much as I do....I ask him all the time what is there not to love about it here?
Seriously if any of you are looking for a great area to move to I highly recommend Ashburn! I snapped a few pictures just of the things I look at everyday driving around....and they probably don't do Ashburn the justice it deserves.

And speaking of things I love...I walked around the corner the other night and Jackson and Sienna were just chilling watching TV like this....I love how much my boys love their sister!
