Keeping up with the 2 yr. old Birthday parties...oh my..

So Sienna went to our neighbors little girls 2nd birthday party.
Moon bounce, pony rides, farm animals, it was quite the party. I don't think we can compete with this one.
She sure had fun though.....who wouldn't!

Sienna arriving...she always has to have her purse!

Isn't this the cutest little playhouse....every little girls dream play house.

She had no fear of the pony at all, she jumped right on.

No fear of the goat either....
She didn't really like the rabbit's too much though......she's like...get me out of here!

While she had all the fancy stuff to play with she played on the swing and slide the most.

Imagine what this little girls sweet 16 party will be like!

Hunter's 14 Today!

Seriously... I can't believe my first born baby is 14 today. How does that happen? It really was just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital!
I was such a nervous mom with him...poor kid!

So on the kids birthday's they get to pick the menu for the day. Hunter chose Reese's Puffs for breakfast this morning. (can you tell they don't get sugar cereal very often?)
I told him I would make him scones this weekend when we had the time though.

So then he wanted a smoothie from Roebecks for lunch...I kept asking him if he was sure that's what he wanted so Sienna and I took it over to his school at lunch.

Then he chose one of his favorite restaurants for dinner tonight.

Hunter coming down this morning for breakfast to find some presents along with it. He got a bunch of weights for weight lifting that he had been wanting if your wondering what is on the counter.....

Despite the look on Hunter's face he really was happy to be there. Oh and there is one extra in there that isn't mine...(in case your wondering the one in the black hat) although he is with our family so much he is pretty much just part of the family.....

So after dinner we went and got shakes at Hunter's request and came home to watch a movie because we have 7:30 am football games tomorrow morning...argggg.......
Family party on Sunday.....Friend party next weekend. This could be the never ending 14th Birthday!

10 Things I LOVE about Hunter......

1. He has the BEST heart around!
2. He is not afraid to stand up for what he believes
3. He's funny
4. He's a leader not a follower
5. He talks to me all the time about important stuff and not so important stuff too.....
6. He loves his family (cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles...everyone)
7. He is patient with his brothers and kind about them copying him
8. He is SO smart
9. He is strong
10. He is good at pretty much everything he tries to do....snowboarding, football, basketball, baseball, swimming, school, church.......

I love Hunter! Happy 14th Birthday!!!!!

Traumatized?

So Sienna had a Dr. appointment yesterday. She was happy and giggling going in and as soon as we walked back and they wanted to weigh her she started crying and backing away. She wouldn't get on the scale or let them measure her. She kept saying I don't want any shots....
So the Dr. comes in and she just starts sobbing and covering her earrings. I kept telling her she wasn't going to get any shots. I couldn't even hear the Dr. over her cries. Then the second we walk out she is totally fine.
Is she traumatized by getting her ears pierced? Any of you out there that got your girls ears pierced experience anything like this? I am feeling bad. Hopefully she will forget about it and not have any long term side effects. :)
Maybe she is just old enough to remember about those mean old Dr.'s and those mean old shots... it was interesting that she kept her hands over her ears the whole time the Dr. was in the room.
She loves her earrings like crazy but man oh man.....

Here is a little clip of Sienna...for family and friends who don't get to see her very often. She's a crazy one...she makes us laugh ALOT around here.

And what about this potty training stuff? She is not showing any signs of wanting to do it. I thought girls were suppose to be easier and faster than boys... Not Sienna! This is about the closest she has come...hmmm who has she been watching? (No that would not be me!)

Sad

Yesterday morning I woke up with the biggest pit in my stomach. I felt so sad it was Labor Day and the last day of summer. Summer is by far my favorite season.
I feel like we were just getting out of school. It just went by way to fast....

We headed down to the pool for the day. It was gorgeous outside. They always have fun games on the holidays. The boys did a tube relay. It was my three boys and their cousin Nicolas. They called themselves the benchwarmers and won the relay...it was pretty funny.

So then we went and got dinner and headed to the mall for some school shoes for the boys...
Nothing like leaving it to the last minute.
We also had Cooper's friend Dylan with us the whole day and night.
It was Dylan's birthday and Coop made him one of the candy bar posters....do you guys remember doing these?

Anyway so we are at the mall. Conwey and Sienna are somewhere and I am with all four boys.
Conwey calls me as we were checking out and said you guys have to come here really quickly.
I was like Conwey it's late, we need to get them all home..blah blah blah.
He insisted, so we headed over. When we got there he is standing with Sienna in a ear piercing store.
Sienna has been asking for earrings for a while now. Conwey has always said no way, until this moment.
(She really has him wrapped around her finger already!)
So then I start to chicken out, but she is excited. We sit her down she has a big old smile and a sucker in her mouth. They did it both at the same time and oh my goodness the scream she let out. She cried all the way down the mall until we stopped for ice cream. Today she is showing everyone her new earrings and seemed to have completely forgotten the pain.

So that brings us to today. The first day of school. I slept horrible last night. You would have thought I was going to school.

Coop and Hunter are now in the I will only wear t-shirts phase.

Jackson will not smile for me EVER!!!

Rachel came and spent the night with us so she could be there for the first day of school and then hang out with me for the day. She is a good Aunt!

Cooper and Jackson walking to the bus stop

Sienna wanted to come to the bus stop too even in her pajamas......she says she wants to go to school to. Oh I can't even think about that day. So Sad!

So now it's Hunter's turn. I can't believe I have a child going into the 8th grade.
He is just getting too big. Another thing that makes me sad.

So I handed him his lunch to put in his backpack and he says "well I might as well get the note out right now.. " Oh my gosh he knows me well. We all laughed as he pulled the note I wrote him out of his lunch. What.. it isn't cool to get a note in your lunch from your mom????
He also didn't want me to walk him to the bus stop. We tried though!

So they are all gone, the house is so nice and quiet! Maybe I am not so sad after all.....

Are WE ready for some Football????

Yes it has started...but unlike baseball I really like Football.
It is pretty time consuming though. The boys have practice every single day for 2 hours.
It is getting them into some serious shape....

We had our kickoff Jamboree today...all the boys had two scrimmages each.

Cooper in Red

Hunter in purple

And Sienna handed out candy and made her polly pockets all beds to keep occupied for the 6 hours she was at the field today...she's a trooper. We just need to get her in a cheer leading outfit!
